Montagu Cheese is a family run business, located close to Bonnievale and specialise in hand made artisanal cheese, which is made using a traditional Dutch style by their own cheese makers. The beautiful pasture fed jersey cows are milked on the farm a short distance from the cheesery.
Their products are made from free range, jersey cow’s milk, non-animal rennet and specific cultures.
The semi-hard cheese contains no artificial additives, preservatives, flavourants or maturation agents and is suitable for vegetarians.
The in-house flavours are infused with organic, non-iodated herbs and spices.
The cows are pasture fed and no grains or other hormone enriched feeds are given.
They are an "Estate" cheese which means from milking to the cheese making all happens on the same farm.
