Ingredients: Each 100g of Porcini Powder is made from 1kg of fresh Porcini (Boletus edulis) mushrooms – dried, ground and sieved.
Storage: Once the package has been opened, transfer the Porcini Powder to a clean glass jar and store in the freezer. Make sure it is sealed.
Uses: Risotto, casseroles, soups, sauces, soufflés, marinades, stuffing and stews. Rub straight into meat, poultry and fish before cooking or add to pastas and vegetables.
Taste: Savoury and natural earthy umami flavour, rich-tasting porcini mushroom adds a pungent, woody flavour to dishes.
Porcini Rub: Mix one and a half tablespoons Porcini Powder, rosemary and pepper in small bowl. Drain steaks, pat dry. Sprinkle the prepared rub generously on both sides of steaks, pressing to adhere.
